Meghan McLeod, Executive Director

Meghan serves as the Executive Director of the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA), a role she began in September 2025. With sincere dedication and a deep commitment to the arts, she leads all aspects of the organization.

Meghan brings a rich and multifaceted background to DNACA. She previously served as Programs & Collections Manager at the Humboldt Arts Council / Morris Graves Museum of Art. She also comes with a  10 year Horticulture background preserving and designing gardens in Northern California and for the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. These experiences have strengthened her passion for beauty, nature, and the power of creative spaces to foster community connection.

A passionate advocate for arts equity and cultural vitality, Meghan is especially committed to serving Del Norte County’s diverse rural communities, including Indigenous, Hmong, Hispanic, and other underserved populations. Under her leadership, DNACA continues to thrive as a California Arts Council partner, building meaningful partnerships with tribes, schools, artists, and local organizations while creating inclusive programs that celebrate cultural preservation, artistic expression, and community belonging.

Meghan believes deeply in the transformative power of the arts to promote healing, joy, and economic vitality in rural places. Her sincere, collaborative approach and genuine care for the community make her a dedicated leader for DNACA’s mission.
