DNACA presents a solo exhibit by artist Marcia Morgan, now on display through April 17th at the Del Norte Courthouse. As a part of our Art in Public Places (AIPP) program, DNACA holds a Juried Multimedia Show each year where artists are invited to enter their original works, of any visual arts medium, created in the past two years. Artists who are juried into the exhibit are offered a chance for a Solo Exhibition at the Del Norte County Courthouse, or at the 2nd Floor Mezzanine at the Del Norte Regional Airport.
DNACA also holds an annual "Art from the Inside" show which consists of artwork created by inmates at Pelican Bay State Prison. The inmates are students in the visual arts workshops as a part of the Arts in Corrections program. This program helps inmates channel their emotions positively, and gives them a healthier way of expressing themselves. This program is a partnership with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the California Arts Council.
